Guildhall

Guildhall is part of the “Norwich 12” of iconic heritage attractions and is one of Norwich’s most recognisable historic buildings. Originally built in the 15th century after King Henry IV awarded a Charter to the City of Norwich, Guildhall has been a familiar sight in Norwich City Centre ever since.

We worked with Cafe Britannia to develop a premium look for Guildhall café & bar which utilised the building’s most distinguishing features.

We replicated the iconic chequered masonry on Guildhall’s outer walls to create an adaptable crown logo mark and paired with a subtle typography to allow for a feeling of elegance and stature. The monochrome branding elements sit alongside Guildhall’s features and complement the tone.

In addition to the logo and signage, we developed the full suite of branded assets which utilise the diamonds of the logo mark as a flexible pattern across cups, coasters, paper bags, menus and uniforms.
