From music to magic, poetry to performance, Norwich Summer Sessions is a free-to-enjoy celebration of street entertainment creating a festival atmosphere for The City of Stories.
Formerly known as ‘Head Out, Not Home’, its participating acts help liven up Thursdays after-work and dazzle shoppers on Sunday afternoons at four citywide locations.
We were inspired by the circus of acts lined up to perform. So naturally we started by giving them all small ‘big tops’ to play under.
The alternating stripes applied to the gazebo canopies lead to a fun and mesmerising visual language. And when paired with an ice cream-like colour palette, we brought the concept of summer closer to the city!
We are absolutely thrilled with the new Norwich Summer Sessions branding. Ark’s creative solution created the sense of an exciting independent event whilst visual cues linked it to Norwich’s overarching ‘City of Stories’ brand. The new look and feel has given purpose to Sunday afternoons in Norwich, increasing footfall and has created a real buzz.
