Holkham Hall, constructed by Sir Edward Coke in the 18th century, stands as one of England’s most remarkable examples of Palladian architecture, nestled within the vibrant and diverse wildlife of the Norfolk countryside.
Steeped in history, Holkham Hall envisions becoming the UK’s leading pioneer in sustainable rural estate management. Year-round, visitors are drawn to its stunning architecture, thriving businesses, and the breathtaking natural beauty woven throughout its expansive landscapes.
Ark collaborated with Holkham Hall to reimagine the design of its 166-page visitor guide. Sold in the gift shop, the guide serves as a detailed companion for visitors, exploring the estate’s rich heritage, iconic architecture, and breathtaking parklands and landscapes.
From the outset, the three cover designs celebrate the estate’s diverse offerings, capturing everything from the sweeping sandy beaches of Holkham to the majestic grandeur of the Marble Hall.
An immersive visual experience unfolds through layout that lets striking imagery take center stage, complemented by thoughtfully crafted typographic headlines and copy.
Foil finishes and fold-out spreads enhance the guide, adding touches of luxury and sophistication.
“We selected the team at Ark to design our new Holkham Guidebook for their proven expertise and passion for print. We could not be happier with our decision. The whole project was a dream – from discussing our initial requirements and vision through to the design and print process. Ark always listened to our ideas and feedback, remaining considered, helpful and professional at all times. Their years of experience, keen eye for detail, and personal fondness for original and unique print have helped to create a Holkham Guidebook the whole team are immensely proud of. We look forward to working with Ark again soon!”
